Window Design Trends; Change Your Current Window Frame Material
Replacing your current windows, especially if they’ve seen better days, does indeed boost the value of your home.
Replacement windows have the benefit of completely transforming how your home looks.
It’s almost a complete makeover and it’s one of the easiest improvements that can be done. Switching your window styles could be an incredible return on investment.
Window Design Trends; Orangeries
These buildings have quickly become my new favourite thing. As it’s the best of a conservatory with a lot of options for adding heat and insulation in places.
Essentially, a Conservatory has an all-glass roof and an Orangery can have a cool lantern style roof with a solid area and glass in the centre.
Orangeries were very popular on Georgian homes and when I think of one, I always imagine a large Georgian home and it’s full of plants.
You could go with a traditional Georgian style of Orangery or add a modern twist with strong blocky visuals and dark colours.

Window Design Trends; Conservatories
Of course, there are plenty of excellent reasons to consider adding a conservatory to your home.
It’s no surprise that coming up to Autumn, one of my favourite places to be at my parent’s house is in the conservatory.
I get to snuggle up, watch the leaves change and fall and really embrace the season. Adding a stove or fire creates the ultimate feeling of cosy.
Lantern Roof
If you currently have an extension with a flat roof, have you actually considered getting a lantern roof?
This style of roofing allows a flood of natural light into your home easily. Typically, you’ll find that lantern roofs can be installed on the majority flat roofs and truly can completely transform a space simply by adding a flood of natural light.
Staring at the stars at night is an added bonus if you live outside a metropolitan area.
