This DIY Ball jar lantern post is sponsored by Ball(R) Canning.
Crafting for the 4th of July is one of my favorite things! In summer we have more time to try our hand at making any party special and with easy to craft projects where all our supplies come from one store – These Ball jar lanterns are a simple way to make the holiday great.
Since the 4th of July is a holiday all about light and brightness making Ball jar lanterns is perfect.
They can be set along a table or side rail to brighten up those moments between twilight and when the fireworks start. Even during the afternoon they stay brightly lite with the colorful stars.

Ball jar lanterns step-by-step process
Start by unscrewing the lids to each of the Ball jars to prep them for use. The candles should fit right inside.
Now it’s time for the fun part! Go to town adorning you Ball jars with stickers. Michael’s has a great selection of all sizes colorful stickers.
No need to feel the pull to stick with the traditional red and blue, I think this project looks the most festive when you combine all your favorite colors to create 4th of July ball jar lanterns that scream Independence and fun.
The stickers will stick to the jars easily, my only recommendation here is to try to stay on the flat glass surfaces, I find the best look when you leave the raised surfaces uncovered.
This will also give the light inside the ball jar lantern more depth to bounce off of while it shines.
Line these pretty lights up anywhere you plan to celebrate this year for a party ready project you can make in minutes! My kind of summer craft.
