Talking about her inspirations, the artist said, “Manipulating a piece of clay and solving problems throughout the process has always been intriguing. One will never stop learning when working with clay. Clay can continue after firing to look as fluid as it was before firing.”

This is how she describes her process of creating the textured and embellished sculptures– “Usually pieces are based on the vessel. Wheel thrown, slab, extrusion, cast. Altered considerably from their original form and then the surface is slip trailed. Fired with commercial glazes to cone 5 oxidation.”
