Are you trying to find small Christmas trees for your apartment? This DIY branch Christmas tree is an excellent idea for a small space Christmas celebration!
Today we have a very, very simple DIY project! The instructions are very simple but the post itself is very picture heavy. I had to take some pretty pictures of the tree!
DIY BRANCH CHRISTMAS TREE YOU CAN MAKE IN 20 MINUTES
YOU WILL NEED:
- big branch off a tree
- expanding foam
- paint (optional)
- plant pot
- pom poms (to hide the narsty foam, you could also use faux fur)
20 Minutes Needed 20 minutes.
Additional time needed for the expanding foam you use to set. It usually takes 12-24 hours to set completely but you can paint it, sand it etc after 12 hours.
- Prepare the Expanding foam
Take caps off, cut anything you need to and attach nozzle.
2. Position Branch
Get your plant pot ready and positioned somewhere so it is comfortable for you to hold the branch and spray the foam at the same time. You may need a second person to help you.
3. Get spraying
I stopped filling it halfway up because I know how big it tends to expand. This is how it looked when it was set.
4. Prime and Paint or else – you’re done!
I used Gesso to prime the branch of the tree. It’s a necessary step if you wish to paint using crafters acrylics or even chalk paint.
5. Decorate your tree
I got myself some pink baubles, pom-poms and faux roses to decorate shabby chic style. If I still had this tree I would decorate using Vintage glass baubles and possibly paint the branch pink. Right now I’m very tempted to make another one to match my Vintage Bauble wreath.
