I love toys for kids that are self-contained. Give me a cute little game or toy that comes in its own case for travel, and it’s such an easy thing to play with at home (and throw into a backpack/diaper bag for a trip to the park or long car ride.) Lola has really liked playing with magnetic games and toys, so I thought it would be fun to make a cute tic-tac-toe game for her to play with us at home or on the go! We are partnering with Canon USA on this project as their printers make it super easy to print at home, and they have some really cool paper options (like magnetic and sticker paper) to make this project a breeze!

Supplies:
-metal case with lid (I used this one)
–Canon PIXMA G6020 MegaTank
–printable magnetic paper
–restickable photo paper
-scissors
–Tic-Tac-Toe printable (right click to download)

Use your printer to print out your game board onto the restickable photo paper and attach the game board onto the inside lid of your metal case. Printing at home is so easy with Canon products! The PIXMA G6020 MegaTank has a huge ink capacity so you don’t have to replace the ink cartridges very often, which is one of my favorite features.

Print out your game pieces onto the magnetic paper and cut out each game piece with scissors (you’ll need 5 “X”s and 5 “O”s). Place your game pieces inside of your tin and grab a little one to play tic-tac-toe with you!

How cute are those little game pieces?? Even if your kiddo is still a little too small to get the strategy of tic-tac-toe yet, they will still love to stick the magnets in each square and move them all around the tin, so it’s definitely a game that can grow with them! Happy printing and happy playing! xo. Laura
